Anna and Roberto’s magical elopement at the beach

Today we tell you the story of Anna and Roberto, they are good friends of ours. They had been married by the court (as they are dads, they solved the legal issue before the court in an intimate and quick way), but they were left with the thorn of dressing as bride and groom.

So, given the situation we were going through with the COVID, we took advantage of the fact that the island was practically empty to not only organize a beautiful ceremony on the beach, but also to fulfill one of our dreams: to organize a wedding on the beach.

It must be said that in Ibiza you can not organize weddings on the beach, but since the beaches were empty and the island had no tourists, we resorted to ingenuity to make a setup that did not disturb the natural environment of “Ses Salines” and we designed a ceremony based on natural elements (so as not to damage the environment).

In the middle of Las Salinas, a natural reserve and salt flats of Ibiza (for us, one of the most special places on the island) we designed a low cost ceremony based on flowers, branches and pampas stuck in the sand (each rose symbolized one of the guests who had not been able to attend). It was very cool because the famous and popular beach of Las Salinas, which is always full of people (at any time of the year) gave us the once in a lifetime opportunity to organize a ceremony.

Raquel, the officiant, represented through two ritual elements. The rose, which symbolizes the love that must be cared for by both parties and the sand that symbolized the place where they met and decided to live together (Ibiza).

So there, in front of Raquel, Sandra the hairdresser, Beatriz and David from Artnatur and Maria and me, to represent their I do’s in the most magical way we have ever been able to organize.

Anna got married in a suit jacket but knowing her, we took a risk and asked Ramón Herrerías to send us a design that was perfect for the occasion and for her. We wanted to take advantage of the fact that Anna, looks practically anything you put on her so we also asked Virginia Vald to leave us a more daring look to enjoy a romantic picnic on the beach..
